How much paint do you need?
Enter the room’s length, width and height, then doors and windows. RoomFit estimates wall area, applies coats and a little extra, and suggests a can size to buy. In the iOS app you can also mark a wall in AR and calculate from that surface.

What the estimate includes
Walls only: 2 × (length + width) × height, minus doors and windows. Default coverage is 10 m² per litre, two coats, and 10% extra. A 4.5 × 3.8 × 2.6 m room with one door and one window comes out to about 8.8 L — so buy 10 L.
Paint brands, colours and surfaces vary. Treat this as a planning number, then confirm with the tin in your hand.

Questions, answered.
How much paint do I need for a room?
RoomFit estimates wall area from length, width and height, subtracts doors and windows, then applies coats, coverage and a little extra. A 4.5 × 3.8 × 2.6 m room with one door and one window is about 8.8 L — so buy 10 L.
Can I measure the wall with AR instead of typing dimensions?
Yes, in the RoomFit iOS app. You can mark a wall in AR and RoomFit uses that surface to estimate paint. It is still a planning aid — confirm coverage with the tin before you buy.
Why is this only an estimate?
Coverage varies by brand, colour, surface and how you apply the paint. Confirm can sizes with the retailer and keep a little extra for touch-ups.
See it in your actual room
Save the estimate to a room in the iOS app so it sits next to the furniture and TV sizes you are considering.
